For a while with Lucy, I had to have lots and lots of grapefruit. With Jane, I needed lots of beans during the whole pregnancy and anything lemony. Corn on the cob was an obsession for about a week. The strangest thing was that during my first pregnancy, I couldn't stand anything tomato - spaghetti, ketchup, pizza - but I liked them again after the baby was born.

I think that with Caitlin I had ice cream every night!! I also always bought those nutter butters. So yummy. . . I think that I should go buy some of those for old times sake. Yeah for not being sick!!

I'm glad you're feeling better! I am still craving anything with dairy in it, cottage cheese, milk, cheese, cream cheese, I can't get enough!

Kelly, I'm with you on the dairy. This time around I've wanted Extra Sharp Chedder Cheese (divine) and I got caught yesterday eating sour cream out of the carton with a spoon. What is wrong with me??? but it was SO wonderful and SO worth it.

Sour cream out of the jar!? Gross! Lol. Write that one down in the baby book! I needed big, bloody slabs of meat, preferably steaks - and plenty of McD cheeseburgers. Glad that obession is gone .. but still on the "nursing cravings" (I think they're just as strong as prego ones) of white Oreos. But is it still a craving if it's a year old?

Nothing too crazy for me. I did go through a gallon of choc. milk every 4 or 5 days.

For me, it's more what foods I can't stand...for example, I have almost no desire to eat anything sweet when pregnant. When I'm not pregnant I always want brownies, cookies, ice cream, etc....but they absolutely do not tempt me when I'm pregnant. And yet I still gain weight at a rapid pace....

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Wish I could get out of it. It's lasting a lot longer with this one.

Cravings weren't as big strong for me as aversions were, too. I did particularly enjoy sweet pickles, raw celery and broccoli dipped in ranch dressing, FRUIT, huckleberries (which my dad picked, put on dry ice, and overnighted to me from Montana when I was prego with Eddison :), and Costco food court pizza. Things that totally repulsed me (at least in the first and second trimesters) were meat of any kind, (Except for a two week period with Norah where I was craving a Carrabas steak marsala - which I never order, but Justin does), most dairy (I could still handle cheese and yogurt, but everything else was on my hit list), and sweets of any kind. (Which is crazy since I love chocolate.) That aversion definitely went away by the third trimester, though. :)
